About Haslemere Concerts
Haslemere Concerts is a registered charity run by volunteers. It is a society passionate about bringing world class musical performance to Haslemere.
Haslemere Concerts has a long history of music making; being established in 1934 as HHH Concerts (formerly Haslemere, Hindhead and Headley Music Club). Our concerts have featured artists ranging from Jacqueline du Pre, James Galway, Sheku Kanneh- Mason to Angela Hewitt and The Queen's Six.
A feature of the success of Haslemere Concerts is the selection of the finest of the upcoming generation of chamber musicians. It is a very competitive life for the graduates of the world’s leading conservatoires early in their professional careers. We support them and encourage them in an atmosphere of welcome and friendship.
To identify the best, we often work with partners and musical charities.
Venues
Our six concert Saturday Evening Series, Seasonal Special with The Queen’s Six, Opera Gala Evening with the Jervaulx Singers and our three Lunchtime Concerts are all held at St Christopher’s Church, Haslemere, GU27 1DD renowned for its outstanding acoustics.
Our three charity Coffee concerts are held in the warm environment of St Bartholomew’s Church, Haslemere, GU27 1BW
Our September Seasonal Special An Exquisite Harmony is held at Hindhead Music Centre, GU26 6BA.
